The Zero Scale Weigh In

When I first signed up for this six week exercise and Paleo diet program, I had every intention of giving it 110%.  My first week I did great, followed the program, skipped with wine, ate well.

But then life got in the way.  Being away for my Mom’s surgery, longer hours at work = less time to meal plan and exercise.  So after 22 days I have this to show for it:

According to WW, I am down 3.4 in the same time frame, but that weigh in is on Saturdays and the Zero Scale WI is on Mondays.  I have to apologize to the company that sent me the scale, but I need to eat up the food we have in the house before I meal plan again – I would say this week my meals will be about 75% Paleo.

But the company wants you to get this scale at a discount!

Specifically, we just wanted to ensure you received the discount code Rich shared last week that allows your readers to receive 15% off their purchase of The Zero Scale by entering “zero” at checkout at www.thezeroscale.com.

I still love the concept of the scale – to not concentrate so much on the exact number on the scale – here’s hoping after today I’ll hit the gym hard.  Today is the last day I have to get everything together for my boss who leaves tomorrow for a trial.  Hopefully then I’ll be able to breathe again!

Happy Monday everyone – hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!

  1. I still think that’s great with everything going on!

  2. I love the concept of this scale (as I said before!). You’ll get right back on it Biz!

  3. This time of year is hard, even without your mom having surgery! It’s not even the food either, it’s more of all the busy-ness surrounding the holidays. I’ve always said if you’re doing the best you possibly can, no one (not even yourself) could ask for more than that.

  4. Sounds like you had a delicious and wonderful Thanksgiving with the best being your mom is home from the hospital. Yay! Hopefully she is recovering nicely! We loved SML and the kids even went swimming, it hit 70 on Friday. Have a great Monday Biz!

  5. If you look to the positive side of things, you didn’t gain weight. I think just maintaining weight this time of year is tough goal.

Enjoy your day and celebrate the small successes.

  6. I LOVE the concept of the scale! It’s great for people like me who have a tendency to obsess over the number instead of how we look/feel.
Sometimes life gets in the way, but I know you’ll get right back at it!

  7. Life gets in the way at times, but Biz, you should be so proud of yourself!

  8. If life gets crazy and you don’t gain weight it is a success. At least that’s how I look at it.

  9. I can so relate to wanting to eat a certain way but also wanting to eat up what’s in the fridge. It’s always a give and take. I’ve told you before I’ve been cutting way down on sugar (like you) and over Thanksgiving I didn’t go too overboard but eating sugar at night does not make for a good night’s sleep.

  10. That scale is so cool! Good luck with continuing the Paleo diet, hopefully things will settle down enough that it will be easier for you to stick to your meal plan.

Hi Vat. I think you’ve done remarkably well to lose ANYTHING during this busy, busy time in your life. My hats off to you!!!!!!

  12. Before buying the zero scale, I would suggest reviewing the comments at Scrumptuous.com. Also, I would suggest calling in your order. Good Luck reaching the company with the phone number provided on their website.

  13. Keep up the good work my friend…. you are doing a great job

  14. Who knew that this month would turn out to be so crazy? I wonder how you’d do on the challenge if you didn’t have all of the other challenges to deal with?

  15. I like the concept of this scale (even though I am a devout scale-hater) because it doesn’t allow you to focus on the actual number since it can be such a detriment.

  16. Life is so busy for you right now and in light of everything I think you are doing very well. Any loss is better than a gain!

  17. No worries Biz! It wasn’t a gain!

  18. That is awesome, Biz! Way to go! It’s SO hard to lose weight with everything that life deals us, but you have done an amazing job. 🙂 Congratulations!

  19. Congratulations Biz! I think you have done a great job despite the challenges this month. Life happens and part of making these lifestyle changes is learning how to eat and stay active when there are changes in our normal routine. You even managed to lose weight after a holiday! I would say that’s a huge success. You continue to inspire me Biz!

  20. I hate scales, I don’t care what kind they are, I hate them! That being said, I DO like the idea of not seeing your weight every week.

  21. Hi Biz! You’re doing better than I am right now for weight. I’d *love* to be at that point for the past 22 days.

    🙂 Marion
